The finishes shown below are examples. Choose from the options available on this product, or contact us to discuss a bespoke finish. Reclaimed wood varies in grain and colour; order a sample if you would like to see a finish before deciding.
Each slat has an approximate cross-section of 3.5 cm × 6.5 cm. Choose which face you want to show and the gap you want between slats. Calculate the total divider width by adding the combined slat widths to the combined gaps between them. A 7 cm gap is one example, not a fixed requirement. Tell us your opening width, slat orientation and preferred spacing if you would like help choosing how many to order.
Each slat is secured with a height-adjustable foot at the bottom that is rotated using the spanner we provide you with. They are very secure once tightened and very easy to install for solid floors and solid ceilings.
We can also provide battens and screw-fixed ceiling or floor options, but most people choose the simplicity of the adjustable-foot installation.
Pressure-fit dividers need suitable solid floors and ceilings so that the fittings can hold securely. Check the product-specific installation instructions. If you have carpet, plasterboard, a suspended ceiling or are unsure about the surfaces, contact us before ordering for advice on an alternative fixing method. Install carefully and check the tension after fitting and periodically afterwards.
The foot can adjust by up to 5cm but then the foot at the bottom would be fully extended and would not look very good. It is always best to be as accurate as possible when providing us with your floor-to-ceiling height.
We make each divider to your floor-to-ceiling measurement. For the Georgina, use the standard listing for heights up to 250 cm, or the taller listings for 250–265 cm and 265–295 cm. Contact us for a bespoke quotation above 295 cm. Other designs have their own size and fixing options: check the product details or ask us before ordering. Measure the height at each slat position, as floors and ceilings may not be level.

Define an open-plan living room or home office with THE GEORGINA, a floor-to-ceiling room divider handmade from reclaimed scaffold timber in our UK workshop. Choose your number of slats and finish, then supply your measured floor-to-ceiling height.
This listing covers ceiling heights up to 250cm. Each slat is approximately 6.5cm wide and 3.5cm deep, weighing around 3kg. The 242cm height shown in the original example is an illustration, not the maximum height for this listing.
For taller spaces, choose the 250–265cm Georgina divider or the 265–295cm Georgina divider. For heights above 295cm, contact us for a bespoke quotation.
The adjustable foot at the bottom of each slat is tightened using the supplied spanner to hold it between the floor and ceiling. The protective pad at the top helps protect the ceiling. The standard pressure-fit installation needs no drilling into suitable solid floors and ceilings.

You are responsible for safe installation. Check that every slat remains securely tensioned, particularly during the first few weeks as the timber acclimatises. The foot has up to 5cm adjustment, but accurate measurements give the best fit and appearance.
You can choose the spacing and orientation to suit your room. Each slat is 6.5cm by 3.5cm in cross-section; account for the face you want to show when planning your gaps. If you are unsure how many slats you need, send us your opening width and ceiling height before ordering.

When selecting boards from our stock, we choose those that we would be happy to have in our own homes.
The appeal of reclaimed wood is its natural feel and rustic character. Small marks—including company branding, abrasions, colour variation, cuts, notches and dents—may remain where they add to the furniture’s appearance.
Do not leave water standing for long periods. Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe up spills.
