Reclaimed wood extendable dining table
THE MITRE is handmade from reclaimed scaffold boards in our UK workshop. Keep it compact for everyday meals, then add the extension section when guests arrive. The original design seats approximately 2–4 people in its compact arrangement and up to 6 when extended, depending on your chairs and place settings.
How the extension works
An additional inner tabletop section increases the available dining space. When it is not in use, this section stores on a hidden shelf underneath the table. Check the closed and extended length of your chosen option before ordering.

Solid reclaimed timber
The tabletop is made from solid reclaimed European whitewood scaffold boards. Natural grain, knots, colour variation and rustic marks give each table its own character.

The original main-image table is finished in Jacobean Dark Oak. Choose from the finishes in the selector, compare our wood finish guide, or order wood samples to help match your room.

Planning your dining space
Measure your room with the table fully extended, including the space needed to pull out chairs. If you want to pair the table with a bench or existing dining chairs, send us their dimensions so we can discuss suitable clearance.

Build time and delivery
Our standard build time is around 4 weeks, followed by an estimated 1–4 working days for delivery once your furniture is complete. These are estimates; courier delays can occur.
For bespoke orders, we will provide an expected timescale. Multiple-item orders may take longer. If you need your furniture by a particular date, contact us before ordering.

Our workshop is based in Southampton, and collection from this location is free.
UK shipping prices are for mainland UK only and do not include the Scottish Highlands, remote islands or Northern Ireland. Please get in touch for an accurate cost in these areas.
We use a variety of larger parcel companies as well as trusted private couriers. They will contact you to confirm your availability before delivery.

While our focus is on scaffold boards and reclaimed materials, we also offer bespoke options where a project calls for them.

Maintenance
With a little care, the furniture will last for many years. The oils help protect the surface from stains and water residue, while each piece of reclaimed wood retains its own character.
When selecting boards from our stock, we choose those that we would be happy to have in our own homes.
The appeal of reclaimed wood is its natural feel and rustic character. Small marks—including company branding, abrasions, colour variation, cuts, notches and dents—may remain where they add to the furniture’s appearance.
Do not leave water standing for long periods. Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe up spills.
