Handmade reclaimed wood headboard
Bring warmth and natural timber character to your bedroom with THE SOUTHVILLE. Handmade from reclaimed scaffold boards in our UK workshop, this rustic wooden headboard can be made to suit your mattress, bed and preferred finish.
Choose your size
Options include 90cm, 120cm, 135cm, 150cm and 180cm widths. Check the measurements in the selector rather than relying on bed-size names, which vary between countries. For a custom width, height or cut-out, contact us before ordering.
The original example measures 160cm wide, 100cm high and 4cm deep, weighs approximately 10kg, and has 35cm clearance from the floor to the bottom of the headboard. These are example dimensions; confirm the dimensions and fitting arrangement for your own bed.
Fitting your headboard
Before ordering, send us your bed dimensions and tell us how you intend to mount the headboard. If you need legs, cut-outs or a wall-mounted arrangement, ask us to confirm the design and what is included. Fixings must suit your bed or wall construction; if you are unsure, seek advice from a competent installer.
Timber and finishes
Made from solid reclaimed European whitewood scaffold boards. Knots, grain, marks and colour variation make every headboard individual. Choose from the available finishes; the original example is Natural Danish Oil.

Before you order
Check the required headboard width, the height above your mattress and any clearance around skirting or sockets. Share any special fitting requirements with us before purchasing so we can confirm a suitable design.

Length: Single (90cm), Double (135cm), Queen (120cm), King (150cm), Super King (180cm). Finish: Natural Clear Wax, Natural Danish Oil, Jacobean Dark Oak. Confirm your selected option against the photographed example dimensions before ordering.

Our workshop is based in Southampton, and collection from this location is free.
UK shipping prices are for mainland UK only and do not include the Scottish Highlands, remote islands or Northern Ireland. Please get in touch for an accurate cost in these areas.
We use a variety of larger parcel companies as well as trusted private couriers. They will contact you to confirm your availability before delivery.

Maintenance
With a little care, the furniture will last for many years. The oils help protect the surface from stains and water residue, while each piece of reclaimed wood retains its own character.
When selecting boards from our stock, we choose those that we would be happy to have in our own homes.
The appeal of reclaimed wood is its natural feel and rustic character. Small marks—including company branding, abrasions, colour variation, cuts, notches and dents—may remain where they add to the furniture’s appearance.
Do not leave water standing for long periods. Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe up spills.
